  • In this project, Gillmor is primarily used because the information they gathered on the Scandinavian kidnappings of Anglo-Saxon monks helps to support a few of my arguments. In particular, it hints that the Vikings placed a high value on information and used what they managed to gather to devastating effect. It is my belief that mercenaries were among the best suppliers of information.
