  • Anders Winroth, much like Neil Price, is one of the foremost scholars in the world of Viking history and he is cited frequently throughout this project. His viewpoints are extremely important in establishing the cultural, environmental, and economic motivators that drove Scandinavian men to seek employment on foreign shores. In addition to that, his arguments also help to show how the traditional raiding army may not have been as lucrative for the common man as previously believed. A more detailed description of his role in this project can be found in the Intro/Historiography.
